We are very lucky. We love what we do, we do it where we live and we love where we live! We sell and let homes in our charming market town and surrounding villages. Having unbeatable local knowledge along with a genuine passion for our area is a real benefit to our vendors. Being able to share first-hand experience of the region to prospective buyers sets us apart from other agents.
Although I’m not quite a true local yet, I have lived in Easingwold for over 20 years, and I do hope to get my ‘qualies’ soon and become a Yorkshire citizen!! It really was love at first sight for me – there is something unique about this part of Yorkshire, particularly Easingwold and it felt like home almost immediately. There is nothing more quintessentially Yorkshire than a market town and Easingwold is one of North Yorkshire’s little gems. The traditional cobbled market square encompassed by beautiful Georgian architecture and pretty green exudes so much character, charm and warmth. It really is a picture-perfect town. If that isn’t enough, Easingwold also offers a fabulous array of independent retailers to cater for every need and, along with the weekly Friday open-air market, we have a shopper haven for the locals as well as visitors.
At Emsley Mavor, Jessica and I are proud to support our local community and businesses. We recently joined Wold Class, Easingwold’s business forum. Everyone knows everyone else’s business, and I’m not talking about gossip! Instead, this forum is about local businesses supporting one another and promoting everything our wonderful town has to offer. Collaborating to support local events and charities, Wold Class perfectly symbolises Easingwold’s community spirit and friendly vibe. We meet up regularly to discuss upcoming events and there are some very exciting plans ahead.
Wold Class members include; Emsley Mavor Estate Agents, Curious Table, Morning Coffee Afternoon Tea, The Fika Room, Tea Hee, The Olive Branch, The George, gift and clothing boutiques, flower shop, Spring Dry cleaners, Easingwold DIY, solicitors, Towlers, galleries, a butcher, a baker. All we need is a candlestick maker – could be a business idea for someone out there?! There are many more.
