This stone built semi-detached bungalow enjoys open views towards farmland and surrounding treelined forest, it is wonderfully private. It is property would make an ideal bolt hole, second home or holiday let. The owners have updated and extended their property creating a tranquil warm home. The windows have been replaced with wooden double glazing, a cosy log burner installed in 2018, a super garden room is a new addition and there is planning consent for a third bedroom.
Properties such as this rarely come to market in the village, the owners are also selling 9.25 acres of paddock land which is a short distance away, see listing( I will put the link on when we go live) and is perfect for equestrians.

With feature log burner we can imagine cosy nights curled up on the sofa watching a movie on a wintery night. French doors open into a versatile garden room, this thoughtfully designed “Green Oak” build has windows to three side and French doors bringing the outside in. With solid oak frames and sills appropriately named “Inantuda” meaning “the gathering place”, this certainly the perfect place to entertain friends and family or simply relaxing reading a thrilling novel!

Local Life in Kilburn
Set beneath The North Yorkshire Moors National Park, Kilburn is a quintessential pretty English village.
Kilburn is famous for The White Horse, at 318 feet long and 220 feet tall, it is largest and most northerly white horse hill figure in the UK! You can take a walk through Kilburn woods past the White Horse and on to the top of Sutton Bank, for breathtaking panoramic views.
Afterwards pop in to the Forresters Arms, where you will be greeted with a warm welcome, fine wines and ale and a spot of lunch.

The White Horse is not Kilburn’s only claim to fame of course, for the village was also once home to master wood carver Robert Thompson. Born in 1876, he was renowned for his prowess in carving English oak and put his skills to crafting items of furniture based on 17th century English styles - and from 1919 his trademark mouse symbol became an identifiable signature of his work. However, today you can go to the Mousemans Visitor shop and café.
Local amenities can be found in the nearby market towns of Thirsk and Easingwold.
Emsley Mavor thinks it’s a wonderful place to live!
