Local life in Sutton on the Forest
Sutton on the Forest is a quintessential Yorkshire village offering idyllic living where neighbours are warm and welcoming and there is always something happening on the doorstep.
Sutton Park is situated at the heart of the village dating back to the 18th century with stunning Georgian architecture and beautiful grounds, definitely worth a visit or two. Set in the grounds you will find Miss Daisy’s Tea room serving food from local produce, ice creams and other scrumptious goodies.
A hop skip and jump away is the Rose and Crown where you will be greeted with a warm welcome, fine food , great beers and wine.
There is a highly regarded primary school, preschool/toddler groups run at the village hall and Brownie’s. There is a regular bus service.
Sutton on the Forest is 8 miles north of York, which has excellent transport links. York station has a regular service to Kings Cross.
You are surrounded by beautiful countryside but close to the city. We think it is a pretty great place to live.
